American National to Open New Winston-Salem Location

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – American National Bank & Trust Company will open a new, full-service community banking location at 22 Miller Street in Winston-Salem on September 23, 2019 at 9 am.  The bank will hold a ribbon cutting celebration on September 25 from 4 to 6 pm.

American National will be open 9 am to 5 pm Mondays through Fridays and will offer full-service banking services for businesses and consumers, including a drive-thru with a 24-hour ATM.  American National has moved from its former temporary location, which opened in 2017 on Oakwood Drive in Winston-Salem.

Headquartered in nearby Danville, Virginia since 1909, American National Bank & Trust Company prides itself on operating under the same name since its founding. The bank has 29 locations in Virginia and North Carolina, including Greensboro and Burlington. The bank’s Miller Street location will provide a full range of banking services as well as mortgages, insurance services, retirement planning, and trust and investment services for the Winston-Salem community.

Trent Wall serves as the Winston-Salem Market President for American National Bank & Trust Company. Wall, a Winston-Salem native and graduate of Appalachian State University, has worked in the local banking community for more than 15 years. American National’s local customer leadership team also includes Jason Anderson, Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager; Chris DiLuzio, Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager; and Karen Tilley, Assistant Vice President and Customer Support Manager.

“We’ve gotten to know many members of the local community since we opened our Oakwood office,” remarked Trent Wall.  “Our team looks forward to serving even more individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations from this convenient and much larger location on Miller Street beside Publix.”

“Our Miller Street location features drive-up services, night deposit, and convenient, street-level access,” Wall added.  “Best of all, American National is backed with 110 years of local community banking experience.  We’re in Winston-Salem to stay.”

Wall said American National is partnering with several community groups this fall to continue celebrating the bank’s opening.  From September 25 until the end of 2019, American National will contribute $10 to Brenner Children’s Hospital for every AMNB Kids’ Club youth banking account opened. American National also is participating in the LEAD Girls Rising Expo at Salem College on September 28, Ardmore RAH! on October 19, Kaleideum Downtown’s Trunk or Treat event on October 20 and the Ronald McDonald House Character Breakfast on October 26.

Local construction company Frank L. Blum served as the general contractor for the American National building renovation, with design and architecture by Winston-Salem-based Stitch Design Shop.
